Late in the 18th century in Japan, a monk visited a sake brewery in Kobe. He noticed something very interesting about the brewery workers: they all had extraordinary soft and youthful hands. An old man, who would had wrinkles in the rest of his body, had hands like that of a 30 year old young man. The Monk became very intrigued and so he devised a series of experiments to figure out the secret to these smooth hands.

How To Get Smooth Skin
After his initial experiments, he decided it was a good idea to give his data to skincare scientists to put the findings through more rigorous scientific testing. After 5 years of intense research, the scientists were able to extract a highly pure form of the substance responsible for the smooth hands of the brewery workers. That substance is called pitera and is created during the fermentation process of sake. Pitera is a rich source of amino acids and proteins which help moisture to bind to the skin so that your skin will stay moist and plump.
The years of research resulted the company called SK-2, one of the best selling premier skincare brands in Japan.
